Hi, I’m Alexandra Fratu.
I’ve been there, lost and anxious, not feeling that I am good enough. Not sure if I had what it takes. Horribly afraid to ask myself the real questions, because the answer might prove right the dark thoughts in my head.
Now I know, those were only intrusive thoughts, Evolution’s way to protect me from harm. Listening to them made me more vulnerable than acknowledging them and returning to my path.
If you needed it, and didn’t have it, built it. Others will need it too.
That is the advice I would give my younger self, completely lost after realizing that my dreams of becoming an artist have all but fizzled out. Here I am helping others find their way through the maze of high performance and creativity. There are more ways to solve a problem.
I am a developmental coach in four languages focused on high performing professionals creatives.
I am a former professional opera singer and a developmental coach. I have the training and still sing, but not on stage. Learning from my musical fallback is the edge that helps me be a thoughtful developmental coach for creatives. I wish I had a coach back then to help me deal with my anxiety and stage fright.
My fallback is the edge I grow from.
Before that, I also studied to become an architect and the lessons I learned after hours upon hours of careful hand-drawing, perspective calculations and rendering (with no computer support) taught me that art is truly in the eye of the beholder, yet the creative is the one setting into posterity the spirit of their age - a piece of history teaching generations to come on the important lessons and achievements uncovered. That resilience is the foundation of art.
I have over 21 years experience in working with and training people in multi-cultural settings,
a deep passion for psychology, philosophy and neuroscience. I speak several languages, out of which English, German, Spanish and Romanian I use daily. I am an expat living in one of the most art-loving and culturally expressive cities in the world, Barcelona, and avid reader of all good books.
Especially in times of deep unrest and distress, creatives are the beacon that illuminates the way forward of the darkness. Art in all its expressions (literature, visual, music, etc) fosters a space for freedom, reflection, critical thinking and exploration of feelings - all these elements that help support vertical development.
Art becomes a form of rebellion and salvation, the colorful edge that illuminates into the darkness of fear, unknown and repression.
If you too are a creative or a professional in a high-performance environment, and are looking for a safe space to unpack your thoughts and dilemmas or work through and plan or looking to develop any skills and learning or simply want to go beyond the uncovered charted map of you mind to look for the dragons, let’s talk!
If you are an entity working or supporting creatives and wish to organize developmental or leadership learning workshops, let’s talk!
